STATES MATTER — NOW MORE THAN EVER

Our work is year-round. It requires a thoughtful, sustained effort to become educated, identify priorities, and develop strong relationships with grassroots organizers and national organizations that are on the ground. We will continue to work in our three states—New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. For 2025, we will be working on special elections and the off-year Virginia state-level races for Governor, Lt. Governor, and House of Delegates.

Lean Left Power Hour

Thank you to everyone who joined us this year at our Power Hours. Your support was inspiring and kept us going in those darkest moments. The calls you all made to PA and NC will make a difference. Please carry on this weekend and do whatever you can.

When we work, we win.

Canvassing and Phone Banking:
The Two Most Effective Actions You Can Take

Personal conversations have special political potency, whether it’s for a candidate, to provide information, or for an issue. And, by far, the most effective way to turn out voters is with high-quality, face-to-face conversations that urge them and help them to vote.

  • Canvassing: Nearly two decades of rigorous randomized experiments have proven that just one in-person conversation has the greatest effect on a voter’s likelihood to go to the polls. A well-organized canvassing campaign can boost turnout by 12%. Here is a Canvassing FAQ that may answer many of your questions. If you are interested in canvassing, please fill out this form, and we’ll be back in touch to give you the details.

  • Phone Banking: We know what you’re going to say: “I don’t like making calls, and I don’t like getting them.” BUT given the stakes in this election, providing information to voters and recruiting election volunteers is critical to countering the right-wing’s attempts at suppressing the vote. Here is a Phone Banking FAQ that will answer many of your questions. When you’re ready, join us at our PowerHours, Sun and Wed 5-7 pm.
